My goal is to get the best ET we can with the truck N/A before we hit it. I still think 5.5 -something is possible. We'll see...........
Anybody have experience with the in-line 2 stage plate that Wilson has on their site? Specially designed for traction limited applications and burst panels too!!! I have a private goal for the LUV on a hit-but it will stay just that: PRIVATE. (I'll give you a hint though----the number starts with the letter "F") I'll stand by the predictions from the past----but don't want to add any new #'s for you to say we didn't hit. Jim. |

I really think you will be pissing in the wind with a plate system no matter who makes it. They are pretty much all similar in ways. They hit hard and when you push them you get distribution problems.
Now if all you want to do is spray 200hp then get a NOS bigshot plate. Stick to one stage. It takes a little more than average experience to make a 2 stage system work right. With 2 kits and no nitrous experience you could end up hurting parts.
To go ET's that start with the letter "F" you will need to push it hard. In reality you will be shooting for 7.80s from low 9s. Yes its possible but not easy for anyone to do. In a nutshell you guys have most of the combination to get the job done. A single fogger would be a better idea. _________________

Last I knew five started with the letter "F". LOL
If it will run the 5.5's I want N/A, what does that equate to in the 1/4??
I always heard multiply by 1.57. That's 8.635 and approaching the limits of what we have it certed for.
Assuming that's the case (yeah I know about assuming!!!) what type of gain could be expected with a 200-250 hit?? You see where I'm going with this.
Nitrous will never be an every pass thing for me and I thought the fogger would be more trouble to set up. They say the burst panels offer a little safety against miscalculating. You don't agree????? |

Jim I know what you are saying. Go 8.70s on motor and spray a 7.70 out of it. It is a possibility with the right stuff. I think if you make the correct choices/changes to the converter/gear/and suspension you could get the job done at 2300lbs with a 300hp hit thru a fogger. I think it will be tough leaving the truck setup from its best motor tune and only slapping a plate on it looking for that 4.99 or 7 second pass. But maybe you will figure something out I don't know.
As for the plate. I don't think the wilson has anything over the rest of them. I really don't think the burst panels are anything more than a sales pitch. If you ever backfire the motor because of a tuning mistake it will happen when the throttle is wide open. Whats the least path of resistance? Not out the burst panels. See what I mean?
A Fogger,Good ignition,Crank trigger, and a stout fuel system is needed to do it right the first time. If you want to get the job done step over the plate systems. In the long run you will thank yourself. _________________
